A terrible fate has hit a 17-year-old, whom is known to us and is a father now for approx. sechs weeks. He was attacked in the New Year night, and his right arm was chopped off with a hand scythe or machete, so that the arm had to be amputated above the elbow. The View Society accepts donations to pay hospital bills, and afterwards prostethic measures. We kindly ask to mark donations, which are intended for him to mark as follows: "Donation Geene Sergio"

I have not written for a long time. This is due to the fact, that I run the society all on my own. Whoever provides two or sometimes three youngsters with all their needs, plus acquisition, accounting and such, knows what I am talking about. With the aging process the girls develop different interests, as there are Facebook, Highfive, pop music and boyfriends; with all referring difficulties involved, like staying away during the night, ore the massive abuse of the mobile phone. This, as it it is free to call between 10pm and 5am, a time when schoolgirls are supposed to sleep. Luckily even this time of puberty will come to an end.

Now we are three. Another girl from the neighborhood joined us, and her father will run the society during my journey to Germany.

The summer vacation started and the kids are swimming at the near pool or playing inside the house, because it is too hot outside. The new term is starting in May and we are looking for funds to cover the upcoming expenses.

The year ends, this time with damped optimism. The depreciation in value of the Euro ripped deep holes. Twenty per cent loss are certainly not chicken feed. The going of our "Mae Baan", due to repeated stealing and embezzlements does add to the accruing work. Thinking about personal, not to mention the targeted expansion, is needless, due to the continued strained economic situation. But: "Who never experiences the downs, cannot appreciate the heights." Therefore we welcome the New Year with the expectationsof an upward trend, just like in real capitalism. Surely the "little ones" say "thank you!", though they not fully understand the significance of your kind aid. Especially I am very thankful for the - and not only the financial- support, which we received for our small project this year.

For our friends and sponsors we surely have the best wishes for the upcoming New Year: Health, happiness, and a little more luck. This always comes in handy.

The fall of the Euro of around 20% creates difficulties for the Society. More efforts are needed to secure the continuation of the project. An expansion at this time is out of the question.

Momentarily we have a visiting sponsor and Friend from Australia. He will stay for three weeks and already has announced another visit in February. He spoils the kids and gives us pleasure, especially with having the opportunity to visit the Gulf of Siam or the zoo with his hired car.

On August 20th we have the first anniversary of the sending of the registration documents to Bangkok, there was no answer. In March a second letter was sent asking about the status of the registration process. But the „Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare" continues to remain silent. Probably a letter has to be sent to the personal assistant to the King. From there we received an answer at that time, although regarding a different matter.

Ein fuerchterliches Schicksal hat ein uns bekannter 17 jaehriger , der seit ca. sechs Wochen Vater ist, getroffen. Er wurde in der Neujahrsnacht ueberfallen und ihm wurde mit einer Handsense oder Machete der rechte Arm abgeschlagen, so dass dieser oberhalb des Ellenbogens amputiert werden musste. View e.V. nimmt Spenden entgegen, um damit Hospitalrechnungen, und danach prothetische Massnahmen zu begleichen. Ich habe lange nicht geschrieben. Dieses liegt daran, dass ich den Verein alleine leite. Wer einmal zwei oder drei Jugendliche mit all ihren Bedürfnissen versorgt hat, dazu kommt die Aquisition, die Buchhaltung und mehr, weiss wovon ich rede. Mit dem fortschreitenden Alterungsprozeß entwickeln die Mädchen andere Interessen, als da sind: Facebook, Highfive, Popmusik und Boyfriends, dieses mit all den dazu gehörenden Schwierigkeiten, wie das Fernbleiben übernacht, oder der massive Missbrauch des Telefons. Dieses, weil Telefonate zwischen 22 und 5 Uhr kostenlos sind, eine Zeit zu der Schulmädchen schlafen sollten. Glücklicherweise hört auch die Zeit der Pubertät einmal auf.

Jetzt sind wir drei. Ein weiteres Mädchen aus der Nachbarschaft hat sich zu uns gesellt. Und ihr Vater wird den Verein leiten, während ich in Deutschland bin.

die Sommerferien haben angefangen und die Kinder schwimmen entweder im nahen Schwimmbad, oder spielen im Haus, das es draußen zu heiss ist. das neue Schuljahr fängt im Mai an und wir schauen uns nach Geldern um, um die anstehenden Ausgaben zu bezahlen.

Das Jahr geht zu ende, dieses Mal mit gedämpftem Optimismus. Der Wertverfall des Euros hat tiefe Löcher gerissen. Zwanzig Prozent Wertverlust sind kein Pappenstiel Der Weggang unserer "Mae Baan", aufgrund von wiederholtem Diebstahl und Unterschlagung, macht die anfallende Arbeit nicht weniger. An Personal, geschweige denn an die angestrebte Erweiterung, ist ohnehin aufgrund der andauernden angespannten finanziellen Situation nicht zu denken. Aber: "Wer die Tiefen nicht kennt, kann die Höhen nicht genießen". So begrüßen wir das neue Jahr, in der Erwartung das es aufwärts geht, ganz so, wie im richtigen Kapitalismus. Klar bedanken sich die "Kleinen", selbst wenn sie diese Förderung in der ganzen Tragweite noch nicht begreifen können. Ganz besonders bedanke ich mich, für die kontinuierliche - und nicht nur finanzielle - Unterstützung -, die unser kleines Projekt in diesem Jahr erfahren hat.

Wir wünschen unseren Freunden und Förderern zum neuen Jahr Gesundheit, Zufriedenheit und ein wenig mehr Glück. Das kann man immer gebrauchen.

Der Fall des Euro um etwa 20% verursacht Schwierigkeiten. Größere Anstrengungen sind vonnöten, um das Projekt weiterführen zu können. An eine Erweiterung zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist nicht zu denken.

Im Moment ist ein Freund und Sponsor aus Australien zu Besuch und schaut sich hier ein wenig um. Er bleibt 3 Wochen und hat sich jetzt schon für den Februar für einen weiteren Besuch angemeldet. Er verwöhnt die Kinder und macht auch uns viel Freude, besonders, da wir mit seinem Leihwagen auch mal wieder entspannt an den Golf oder den Zoo fahren können.

Am 20.8. jährt es sich zum ersten Mal, dass die Registristrationsdokumente für den Verein nach Bangkok geschickt worden sind; Es gab keine Antwort. Im März habe wurde in einem zweiten Brief nach dem Status der Bearbeitung angefragt. Auch hier hüllt sich das „Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare" weiter in Schweigen. Es muss wohl wieder an den persönlichen Referenten des Königs geschrieben werden. Von dort kam seinerzeit wenigstens eine Antwort, wenn auch in anderer Sache.
